In his youth, Dark is a young man possessed by the demon lord he sought to defeat on an ill-fated adventure, determined to keep others at arm's length for their own good. In adulthood he has succeeded in separating the demon's consciousness from its powers, destroying the former and keeping the latter; however, demonic corruption is a dangerous force he must fight within himself on a daily basis, made all the more dangerous as he tries to make up for the lack of indulgence in his younger days.
